Vaastu Tips

These are simple points I collected about Vastu. As many of us are eager to apply Vastu but always get confuse with too many resources. I try to put up some points as for reference. Detail and explanation of these point can be found in Vastu books.

Every plot is divide into four quadrant each representing basic elements:

• North East - Water (Good for pond)
• North West - Air (Good for living room)
• South West - Earth (Good for Bedroom)
• South East - Fire (Good for kitchen)

1. Usually better to leave open land on the East and North side.
2. Entrance is better to have on the North wall of North East quadrant. This give positive energy. But having entrance on different direction have different meaning
• East - Inspiration and enlightenment.
• South - Reminds responsibility
• West - Calm/Neutral
3. Living should in North West quadrant.
4. Kitchen should be in South East quadrant.
5. Dining table on West wall.
6. Cooking side should be on south side.
7. Dish washing and cutting on East side.
8. Microwave/Oven on South East corner.
9. Bedroom should be in South West quadrant.
10. Head while sleeping should be towards South or East but never to North.
11. Better to have good picture on foot side of the bed. Because this is the first thing you will see when you open the eyes in the morning.
12. Study room should be in East or North or West side.
13. Favorite chair can be placed on North or East or North East corner.
14. Pond/Pool should be in North East side.
15. Garage should be in South East or North West side
16. Heavy furniture should be placed on South West side.
17. Bathrooms can be anywhere except North East.
18. Medicine box should be on South West side.
19. Terrance/ Balcony can be on East or North or West side.
